Well now, it is my turn to help and you can help also. I joined Alexis Stone in her fund raising effort for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I will be doing the night walk October 6th in Santa Rosa, California starting at 6pm.
Alexis grew up right next door. Her parents George and Diann Nielson are our fence line neighbors. George and his backhoe dug the foundation for our self built Novel Victorian in 1981. It was so wonderful watching their 3 children Alexis, Bailey and Carter turn into adults.
Alexis was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2006 just after giving birth to her daughter, Makenna. Alexis and her family have been fighting a brave and tough battle for 6 years. She has undergone a donor blood marrow transplant and is currently in the transplant recovery stage. As many of you know, their family has experienced firsthand the importance of donations for research and development with blood cancers.
Thank you, having fun Steve
