Please note that I found this on the Message Board, and since it is from 2011, I suggest that you double-check (confirm) with Archie that it is still valid.

As for "searching" for old posts...

TheChipBoard "search" button allows you to search the most current messages only. To go back further, you must first select Archives and then pick the archive that makes most sense. If you look at all the archives, you will see that they tend to store a similar amount of older posts. The archive at the very bottom is an ever expanding archive, until it reaches the average amount and then becomes a locked archive.

The "search" utility works the same within each archive. Unfortunately, you cannot search all the archives at one time. But at least the entire past is still available, except where images were used.
