Wayne - First ask ebay to refund the postage you paid to your pay pal account, they have done this for me in the past when things were their mistake. You will have to talk to a real person on a phone call.
If this doesn't work I think perhaps the postage could be split but remember their is the cost of another padded envelope and a trip to the post office for the seller.
