I cannot get Verizon in my neighborhood, the townhome assoc will not allow them to dig up the lawns to put through the wire. But that said I have a pretty good experience with Comcast in my neighborhood. I have been Verizon free (phone, internet, tv, wireless) for a number of years and am pretty happy about it.
