I would answer in the post below except that I can't get the dang page to even load up that far down. I have been trying for the last hour with no luck.

The sites I am downloading are all over and I have no idea who hosts them. It ranges from the Chipguide to financial sites to government sites.

I use my own Motorola router which I have had for years. Whatever is causing the problem is getting way worse today for me. I checked my speed on Toast.net and got results of 1250 KB (that one test was pretty slow) to 7000KB per second (blindingly fast). Average comcast speed according to them is 3000KB.
