I gave up on pages and flips. I now store my chips in air tites. Pages do bend as you say, standing up or laying down.
I then put my chips in cardboard holders and storage boxes and started to notice some warped. I am not sure why, but removed them all and went to airtites.
Today it is even hard to find pages that fit a chip. Most tear when putting chips in.
