Yesterday I received a postage due notice for $1.10 for a chip I had purchased the previous week. I paid the seller $2.50 for shipping and thought it odd that it wasnt enough to ship one chip. I emailed him to inform him and he credited my paypal account the money. Today I went to the post office annex here in Lancaster NY to pick up the item. When I looked at the bubble mailer, I noticed that the actual postage was not stamps, but placed by the postal employee who must have weighed the item and informed my seller of the cost to ship which was 90 cents. How is that possible?? On one end the postage is 90 cents and on the other it's $2.00??? I asked the clerk about it and he told me the clerk in New Jersey made a mistake and they would make a copy of the front of the mailer and send it to the supervisor to inform him of the error. How does this help me? How does this help my seller? I realize he charged me 2.50 and only spent half that to ship, but that's what he was told that it cost by the post office! They better get their feces together! Now I know why they're going out of business!
