Awhile back at a yard sale, a guy showed me some Silverbird tokens, I asked how many he had.
He took me in his garage. There was a 50 gallon metal drum full. He told me he was bulldozing the El Rancho and found several drums full. He only brought one drum home.
I bet there were chips in some of the other drumss.
At the Frontier dig, Flash bought a slab of chips, I think he said it was 8ft long long and 2 ft thick. He had a backhoe load it on a truck and took it to his sons house. It would have taken a forklift to get it off. Had plenty of Sand's chips in it.
While I was at the FQ's the security called me and ask me to come to the basement. They had uncovered a huge slab from the floor full of old issued chips.
That was not the 1st Stardust dig. In the early 90's at a CT Rodgers/ Bill Akman chip show, a Stardust security guard brought 1st issue Stardust $100's in to sell. He said they were digging in the basement of the Stardust. You could see the concrete still on some. CT bought some if I remember right.
Like I said. They are buried all over the city.
