John:
I went there twice in one trip, and I can't remember if it was during a convention (2005) or some other random Vegas visit. The first time I went, it was early in the morning (well Vegas early like 10:00am!) the tables were not open. So we went back later that night when the tables were open. As I recall they had two BlackJack Tables and one Craps table. No roulette. They allowed me to buy the chips right from the cage. I did not wind up playing BlackJack or Craps then because the tables were very crowded.
The casino itself was part of a gas station/convenient store that was more accessible from Industrial Rd. But we did not have a car when we went so we went to the Westward Ho, and told the security guard at the front entrance that we wanted to go to The Ho. He called the shuttle (and I do use that term very loosely) to take us. It was a broken down, stripped bare old 10 passenger van. He took us behind the Westward Ho through a maze of old abandoned buildings and hotel rooms, and we eventually popped out right in front of the Ho.
The interior looked a lot like the new Alamo casino off of Blue Mountain. I had fun there, the people seemed friendly and I planned to go back on my next trip, but of course, it was closed by then. I just can't pin point what months it was that I was there.
Hope that helps!
