In 2010 control of Atlantic City's casions was moved from the Casino Control Commission to the Division of Gaming Enforcement. With this transfer of control, the rules governing Atlantic City casinos were relaxed. DGE oversight and staff were reduced by removing state gaming officials from the casinos. Under the new rules, casinos were also allowed to reduce supervisory staff in the pits. The CCC and DGE booths in the casinos are now empty. If a player or casino has a dispute they must call the DGE office and ask them to send someone.
