Not all insurance companies are the size of State Farm, Allstate, Travelers, GEICO, etc

Some companies fly by the seat of their pants. They are always in a state of insolvency. Although they should be dissolved, they manage to hang on, I'm sure stashing premiums in off shore accounts.

Bottom line, if not a major insurer, check their Best rating.
