Nice setup and the picture looks great too, but it may look even better if you used a white background or backdrop like paper or cardboard behind the chip. I too have given up using scanners and am in the process of taking pictures of all my chips. I bought a small camera tripod ($7.99 at Wal-Mart) and will see how well it works.
