The NJ Casino Control Commission and NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement HAD staff available, in house, at each casino, round the clock.
In 2010, NJ Governor Chris Christie transfered control of Atlantic City's casions from the Casino Control Commission to the Division of Gaming Enforcement. With this transfer of control, the rules governing Atlantic City casinos were relaxed. DGE oversight and staff were reduced by removing state gaming officials from the casinos. Under the new rules, casinos were also allowed to reduce supervisory staff in the pits. The CCC and DGE booths in the casinos are now empty. If a player or casino has a dispute they must call the DGE office and ask them to send someone.
