There were some 200,000 issued when the casino first opened and they were used as coinage for several years until one day when the casino decided to recall them all. The 200,000 counters had grown to 400,000 counters and the casino paid cash for each and every one (real and fake)... and one variety of the fakes; four in all... and a silvered-brass variety; is prized more than the original silver today...
