hot-stamp die is the same one. My "difference" comment was about the denomination. While both have diamonds on either side of the numerals, it is the fonts of the numerals that are decidedly different.

Sure wish someone with a scan of the $100 would post it, as I'm curious which font is used for "100".

But aside from the mystery of where these were used, I sure like the way they look. That bird shows well and the 8 inserts just look cool!
