....in the month of September !!!!!

Last night and into the early hours this morning we had around 10" of rain in a 12 hour period. Tons and tons of lightning and 16 houses in the area were set on fire during the storm by lightning strikes.

The street in front of my house is covered with about 4 feet of water and the crawl space below the house is completely full of water also about 4 feet deep. Probably will take 2 or 3 days before I can get out of the driveway and down the road. No water came on the property from the River in front of the house - it all came from the build up of rain water - kinda like a flash flood.

This is the most rain in one day that I have ever seen here in 66 years and that's a long time - trust me.

I will be doing some fun things on the Board in the next few weeks including a report on my trip to the Convention, a tribute to my Father, a 9-99-999-9999 chip sale and a contest to win some chips - so stay tuned for the details and all the fun starting in September - you know that's the 9th month of the year !!!
