It looks to me like they use the numbers that your player's card shows, so I'm pretty sure it's actual loss, not theoretial loss based on the slot game odds.

Some places have been known to rebate a portion of table game losses if they greatly exceed theoretical. Usually done for bigger betters, and those they would like to see continue to come back to play.
