on the round robins or shotgun deals or whatever the heck they were called. Someone would set one of these things up, get some people to join & send out a bunch of chips that would go from person to person, with the originator getting the final package back. The people in-between, would take out a chip or two or however many & replace those with different chips...and usually added an extra so that by the time it got back to the originator, he / she had a few extras.

It was a pity & a shame that these stopped, but some of the people that participated put in crappy condition chips & took out more than they put back. Maybe some day these will make a come-back -- just be careful with whom you deal with ( members are the best bet).
