NCR: Quick Trip Report - the D

Stayed at the D for a couple of nights this past week. Was able to secure one of the refurbished rooms and it was very nice. It was a decent sized room with good beds and was high enough that there was not a lot of noise either from outside the room or from Fremont Street. The casino was not much different than you all remember Fitzgeralds except that they removed the poker room and added the Sigma Derby machine. They still have some machines that use coins.

On the chip front, the D chips are still expected on the tables on the 15th. The mishmash of tokens for the $1, left over LE's, beat up old house chips and even beat up newer house chips for the $5, and worn $25's were still on the tables. The roulettes were changed out a while ago to the "D" roulettes and these are starting to see some wear.

I did manage to snag one of the match play chips based on a promotion I was offered. I also got a new room guide for Barry and got to see the (ex)Mayor walking around Fremont street.
