I run into this while mailing out the club auction lots. Starting next year they will go Priority mail with insurance but no delivery confirmation. Why? Becasue while you can not track an insured package the USPS can. If it is not delivered or damaged they will track it for you. Registered is better becasue signature is required but it is very expensive unless the item is valued over $1500 in which case it is a better deal than insurance.
