The fight was for the WBC Heavyweight title. Holmes won in a unanimous 12 round decision. Holmes won every round against the European Heavyweight champ Rodriguez.

What makes this ticket even more interesting is the fact that the fight was held in Scranton, PA. Not exactly a mecca for boxing, but Holmes was from PA - he was known as the "Easton Assassin".
