No this is a real chip, it is a promo chip. It was attached to an invitation card to come out and play it at the casino. I bought mine with the glue still on it and cleaned it off. The person who sold it to me removed it from the card and put it up on ebay. I wish I had the card, it would be worth so much more. The ones showing up now were the unused chips that were found a a flea market and most have a little of the center rubbed off. So the reason for it being a one sided chip is that the other side was glued to the invitation card and had the intention of being used one time only.
