Years ago, I tried to cash in a bunch of those U-G-L-Y Bud Jones chips they made for the Vegas Club. The lady at the cashier window said "we haven't taken those in years".

I still have many of those 1995 Bud Jones ones they made for various casinos..they looks like backgammon pieces..
