Yeah, what Arcchie said. About 30 years ago we took both kids to LV on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is the busiest day at US airports. We got as far as St Louis where they were overbooked. I conned both kids to take the bump ($50 each). They put us up in a nice hotel, we got into LV 8 hours late and they gave us $1600 in bump certificates for flights that didn't cost $800 in the first place. How can you not like that deal???
