NCR: Latest on my back surgery

Well, I am here to type you about it, so it must have been a success! I was in the hospital for a mere 28 hours after my surgery before they kicked me to the curb. I feel DRAMATICALLY better than I did before the surgery. Cripes, I feel better now than I have felt for the past 2 or 3 years. I am up to sitting in a chair or in my recliner in the living room. I am still in quite a bit of pain; that said, the incision itself has moved beyond a nice healthy pink and more towards the skin color of the rest of my back. The incision is even starting to itch a little. I have no stitches on the outside (they literally super glued my incision back together) and I have a couple of stitches on the inside where they had to cut through some muscle. But I have been extremely fortunate in I have NO complications, NO infections, NO major problems. Now it's all just recovery.

I want to thank all of you for all your kind words; your thoughts and prayers; your words of encouragement on both my Facebook page and in my email box. It all helped with my recovery. Every last word. So thank you all. So very much!!

And to Brenda Black. I promise you, PROMISE YOU, I will be better enough next year to volunteer MUCH more at the convention. That is if you will have me back.
