When we were in Amsterdam they didn't have the coat and tie dress code but they would not let me in with my athletic shoes on. They sent me around the corner to a shoe store where I bought the cheapest pair of regular shoes (they almost fit) for only $70. All this only to find out that the chips I was hoping to score were the same as the other Holland casino I was in the night before. GEEZ!!Never wore those shoes again.

American riverboats used to charge an entrance fee but I am not aware of any that gave out a chip as a ticket like in europe.
