Got the last of the really tough Nevada $2.50's I needed at the Chip Chat Auction on Monday of Convention Week. Appears to be UNC, and I hope there's not a box about to come out . I've waited 6-8 years for one to show up at a reasonable price; had to pay an unreasonable price at the auction, but the blank space is now filled!

TCR dates this to only 1976. Could that have been when Del Web Corp bought the place? Maybe they decided not to use a 2.50 and kept them in the vault. Sure hard to find, anyway.
