Last week I spent over 4 hours in the historic Library in Beaumont. I was looking for information on a corded mold chip with JAC on it. Black $100 (Also A MRE chip same mold ). I did find the following places in the early newspapers. Beaumont was a hor bed of gambling in the 40's 50's 60's 70's from all the raids that were written about.
Domino Club, S & L Snack bar, Texaas Clib, Spindle Top, It'll Do Lounge, and King Edward Hotel. Not much detail in the articles concerning owners and chips.
I did find a referance to " Jefferson Amusement Company " JAC, but it was primarily in owning movie theaters. Does anyone know of the JAC company or anything about it.
