for the past 4-5 years and thats the only way we can take electronic payments.

From what I understand you dont even need a paypal account to use the service and it charges no fees to the sender.

This option allows us to take multiple credit cards like AMEX which we didnt previously as well as direct dransfers from bank accounts.

Other than that, snail mail is the only way to go unfortunately.
