I have a 1949 copy of Holiday magazine that has a great story on the divorce boom in Reno at the time. Back in those days you could stay in Reno for six weeks and then get a divorce or as the article puts it - "Its all over after six weeks in Reno (at about $1200) and ten minutes in court." The article has quite a bit of info and photos of the gambling in Reno at the time. I sure wonder if those crest & seal looking chips on the Palace Club table are those great Indian head ones we all lust for now days? In any case they are great photos - I love the one of Douglas Alley - brings back some nice memories.
