I swear this is the car I learned to drive in when I was a kid! These electric cars rode on a wooden track at amusement parks during the 50's and 60's. The memories are priceless. The first photo is of the car and track on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ. I found the second photograph online and I believe that it may have been taken on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ (though I could be wrong). Many of the amusement rides from Asbury Park have since been destroyed but I'm holding on to hope that one of these cars is still around somewhere today. There is a possibility that they've been relocated to another amusement park either on the east coast or someplace else in the country. I would love to see one of these roadsters again. If anyone has any specific info about the whereabouts of any of these particular cars, please let me know.
