Mailing Chips to SouthPoint

Since I don't drive to the convention from my home, I try to come up with a better way of getting my traders to the convention. So my thought this year was "why not contact South Point and have my traders mailed to the Hotel?"

Has anyone else done that before and what kind issues are there when mailing your chips to a casino/hotel?

The other trick I've done before it pack the chips in a Plano 3700 box and carry them with me, and packed my books in my check in bag. The only problem is 400 - 500 chips weigh a lot and then I have to put them back into the notebooks. Then at the end of the convention I have 1000+ chips and a very heavy carry-on bag.

2 years ago, I just mailed my traders back home so I would have 30 lbs. less to carry (and only brought home my new chips on carry on.

Any thoughts?
