There are very few pictures of Hall of Famer Bob Mera around. Bob had a casino collectibles store on the boardwalk in Atlantic City between the Tropicana and Bally's Grand (now the Atlantic Club Casino). Bob's store was a hang out for chippers. Anytime the store was open, there were a bunch of collectors in the store buying, browsing or just hanging out. It was the first place I stopped every time I was in Atlantic City. Bob was known as the top recruiter for the CC&GTCC in the early day, and perhaps still is. Bob passed away several years, the store is gone, and there is very little remaining about him. Save for this chip that I guess Archie Black had made up when he presented Bob with the 1991 Top Recruiter award.
