You might want to stop in at the Cal-Nev-Ari Casino on the way.
Not much to see but the history is great. I've linked a story from
the Las Vegas Review-Journal below. There was also a good
story in the club magazine from 2006, vol. 19 #4.

No chip run at the casino, though.

Depending on the type of vehicle you have, you may want to
take Christmas Tree Pass on the last leg of your journey to
Laughlin. I've never done it but I've told myself if I ever rent
an SUV with enough clearance I would. This link comes from
