I collect, but I don't normally gamble. I recently went to a casino in Florida and, upon getting my Players card, was given $35 in free play. It wasn't "match play" - I never put any of my own money in the machine, but I played a game for more than half an hour on the casino's money.

My question: Using free play, do the winnings ever "vest" so I can cash out, or is it automatically assumed that I must lose the free play award before I can start making money?

What about "match play"? If I get $5 match play, and put in my own $5, is there a point where I can cash out, or do I have to lose $5 (or $10) before I get any "profit"?
