I know Greg and I discussed this very topic numerous times.

I know Greg didn't like the political posts and he even asked me to tone down a bit on a few occasions.

However when I asked specifically about stopping them altogether he told me that this was an open forum and I was welcome to speak my mind on any topic including politics.

Now with that being said, I haven't started a political thread in many years. I did that out of respect for both Greg as well as the others who objected.

I believe like others that bickering here on the board is bad for the hobby and for friendships in general.

Was there an agreement among the regular Political posters to calm it down? I believe there was.

However as far as I am concerned, I was never asked by Greg to stop completely and that was not what he wanted.

I cant speak for Greg and I only wish he could chime in on this thread. I only know what he told me and was passing that along. he never changed the Welcome message and I have to imagine that was by choice.
