IF you are planning to see a movie during the convention, the South Point has a $4 before 4 pm deal (if you are a senior).

BUT, if you don't want to see a movie that early in the day (or not willing to admit being a senior yet), "Amazon Local" has a deal today for Las Vegas that bring the cost of any movie $12 or less down to $6 each - valid anytime until Sept 30, 2012. (Not sure, but you might be able to use this deal for your local theaters too).
Either way, Darrell and I have used this deal before and really enjoyed the fact that not only did we get a great deal, but we just walked up with the voucher in our hand and got to skip the ticket window line.
South Point theaters are nice, if you've never been...and lots of food choices in the snack bar area.

Not sure what will be playing during the convention, but here is a listing of what's showing today....it's not a rinky-dinky theater system.

If for some reason, a facial deal or some other goofy Vegas offer shows up, look towards the bottom of the page and it will show "Movie Ticket from Fandango". Click on that and follow the directions.
The only downside is, you have to decide what movie and time you want to see before you go to the theater. I bought two of these tickets today, and Darrell and I will decide the day before we leave for the convention what movie and time.
Vouchers are redeemable on Fandango.com or there is a Fandango app you can use on your smartphone to redeem for ticket(s).

PS - Don't sit near me at the movie - I like to steal popcorn!
