Re: The value of this chip is not much

Take a look at scan numbers 1489/1490/1491.
They must be denominated.

I was there around the time they were issued and it was something like 10,000 pesos to $1 grin
Inflation was running Zimbabwe style and when it got near 20,000 it was devalued by a factor of 1,000 and supposedly 'pegged'
Looking now, the current rate is about 20, so either it was pegged, or their economy staged a great upturn, or our economies are even worse than we thought vbg

Anyway, I guess that made the 1 peso chip about 1/100 of a cent at that time.

I recall visiting a casino when I was there. That was back in 1991. I was only betting very small amounts (like £5) but can recall clearly that it was plaques, and the roulette layout had large squares to accommodate them.

Geez, the places I visited between about 1980 and 2000 and only ever kept a handful of chips. Must have visited 200 or 300 casinos round the world. Probably more. I tried to make up a list a few years ago but gave up. - Europe, Africa, South America. Between 1990 and 1996, while I worked at KPMG, I visited (and worked in) over 50 countries!
