There is a story told in MIT behavior economics professor Dan Arielly's book Predictably Irrational of an AARP rep who called local lawyers asking if they would offer a reduced rate for seniors who couldn't afford the full rate. Across the board, he was told no. He then asked a bunch if they would volunteer their time and got a very high positive response rate.
I'm not saying that any of these guys would do it, but the club is a non-profit, right?
FWIW, I'm trying to see if last year's HORSE winner, Fabrice Soulier, might come by. Not as big a name as the others, but a great player and all-around nice guy. I give it about the same odds as set over set...
