I don't know the history of these Caesars baccarat tokens, other than what I've read 2nd hand.
There was a similar item on ebay about 6 weeks ago. I'm not the seller, wasn't involved in the bidding, and can't vouch for the description contained in the ebay listing. Having said that, here's the listing:
There's certainly more than 3 examples, including yours and others that have been mentioned elsewhere.
If my calculations are correct, the scrap value, if it is 10k gold, is around $730 --
Today's gold = $1556 per oz. Converts to $20.85 per gram, if 10k. Yours average about 35 grams. So value = $730.
Could you get more than melt value? I don't know.
It's out of my budget at those levels, but it is a nice piece. It would be a shame to lose it to the casino collectibles community by melting it down, so hopefully you can find a buyer for both pieces. Good luck.
