Jerry's machine is infected and changing the password to his email account will not eliminate the virus.

Jerry needs to find the virus and have it removed. Thereafter, he should use a strong password and anti-virus program.

I periodically get emails from Jerry and when his came in, it was not unusual for the type of messages I have gotten before. In this instance, I did click the provided link and my anti-virus software kept me from being infected!

In the overall, I could only wish that changing a password, after-the-fact, was a viable solution.
