Card cutter?
In Response To: Nice work, Gene, but.... ()

Cards were expensive in the 1800's. When the edges got worn or nicked, you trimmed the deck down slightly with the card cutter and continued to use it. Also it gave the cards nice square corners again.

Didn't fix the tobacco and whisky stains, but nobody cared; just gave the deck character grin .
