I understand the media needs to make a story and the alleged link between repeated hits to the head is definitely a story, but plenty of people who weren't hit in the head take their own lives. plenty of people suffer from depression too. one may not cause the other. it's a tragedy no way you look at it but maybe he had trouble adjusting to life off the gridiron. maybe there was some event in his life we don't know about. maybe, he has suffered depression for years but playing balanced it out. maybe it was a result of hits to the head. we may never know
