When I found the CAL-NEVA C&S Roulettes, I ran to my "TCR" to see what I had (I had many ) and saw they were listed at $100... After checking around I saw that there was very little trading of the chip; except for perhaps a few drilled examples. So, I offered them at twice the listed value and sold off about 20 chips to start with and made sure to sell at least one of each color combo to a few California coin/chip dealers who were on the road, constantly in hopes they would do some leg work for me (they did well)... To make a long story even longer; I sold a few examples to one person who was just leaving to attend a chip show in LV. The next day he calls me from the show telling me that he sold his examples for $600 each. I was happier than a pig in doo-doo because I knew how many more I had and realized I could get them out in front of collectors at even higher prices as soon as I decided to boast about how well they performed (with documented history) in the open marketplace... I sold a few more of them in the $800-$1000 range and they resold at shows for way above that level at the time... Now I was ready to sit back and let eBay and this message board do the rest... (I ever had any problem selling them at the level I did knowing someone would resell them at a higher level...)
