Sounds like they are removing some rooms -- old Sahara was 1720 rooms, new SBE says 1600 rooms & suites.
Maybe selective implosion or physical removal, like the rehab on the Tropicana ... or at least remove the oldest rooms from public use & convert to back-of-house use, if appropriate.

I hope they are successful. North Strip can use a trend reversal. Even better would be enough recovery to complete & open some of the unfinished properties in the area. They're pretty sad to drive by now.

Looks like they have established a niche in LA and Miami too. Hope they are successful.
