The casino in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, has moved from the Santa Catalina hotel downtown to the Las Palmas harbor - visible from my cabin. The Gran Casino Las Palmas has a decent sized slot/poker area but the game room is small - two blackjack tables and two roulette wheels. Was able to get some chips.
The next stop was the island of Lanzarote. The Gran Casino de Lanzarote is at the beach town of Puerto del Carmen. Was able to get into the small slot area but the game room didn't open until after sailing time. - no chips.
Next stop was Funchal, Madeira and the home of Casino da Madeira, my favorite foreign casino. I knew there was no chance to get into the game room because it doesn't open until evening and sailing time was early afternoon.
Now heading for northern Spain and hopefully more casinos!!
