I bought this chip on October 6, 1996 at a flea market in Pennsylvania. I paid 10 cents for it. Actually I bought 2 - 200 chip racks of chips - 400 total chips for $40.00 and this chip was in the group - thus the 10 cent price.
I have no idea of it's origin. Is the color of your chip accurate - looks RED ?? Mine is a Salmon color. It might be USPS prior to King since there were a bunch of Crest & Seal chips in the lot also.
I would be interested in buying the chip for my Large Crown collection. Please LMK if you decide to sell it.
