I don't know if you're aware of it, but in the great movie (well, good - not as great as Casablanca) Lost in America, there's an echo of that scene. I always wondered if it was intentional. When Julie Hagerty loses the "nest egg" at the old Desert Inn, she's betting 22 on the roulette layout! "22, 22, come on 22!"
