SNCCC- THE INVITATION FOR 04/10/12!

On behalf of the members and officers of the SOUTHERN NEVADA CASINO COLLECTABLES CLUB you are cordially invited to attend our monthly meetings!

The next meeting is Tuesday, April 10th at 7PM! The trading and/or selling of casino memorabilia can commence as early as 6PM and will resume following the meeting. You are invited for the meeting and/or the trading sessions. We meet at the Marine Corps League Museum / Leatherneck Club. The address is 4360 Spring Mountain Road. The Leatherneck Club is located in the INTERIOR of the shopping center in the NORTHEAST corner of Spring Mountain and Arville!

We are having an auction as well and you can see the list of items and the scans in this message! You are welcome to email me if you cannot make it in person with your highest bid and your CCGTCC or local membership number and which lot you want to bid on! Payment for winning bids are due at the end of the auction, if you are an absentee winner I will send you an invoice! We are currently NOT looking for items for our April auction, BUT you can email me and/or bring items with you for future auctions! Any form of casino memorabilia is welcome! The club takes a 20% seller’s fee!

Our speaker for April is Mr. Peter Maheu, son of Mr. Robert Maheu. Peter was intimately involved in ALL of the happenings with Mr. Howard Hughes and his father, Robert!

Mr. Maheu is the managing member of Global Intelligence Network, an intelligence and investigations firm specializing in due diligence for regulatory compliance in the gaming industry and other business sectors. Global performs background investigations of corporate entities and individuals, completing thousands of investigations in over 52 countries since the company’s inception. Peter is a licensed Private Investigator in California and Nevada.

Mr. Maheu has had an outstanding career spanning both the casino industry and investigative work. A member of Robert A. Maheu Associates, Peter was instrumental in the management of the extensive gaming interests of Mr. Howard Hughes in Las Vegas as well as Mr. Hughes’ other Nevada investments in real estate and mining.

Mr. Maheu has spoken at the Annual Casino Regulatory Compliance for three consecutive years. He has also spoken at the International Masters of Gaming Law Conference, the International Association of Gaming Attorneys Conference, the World President’s Association and the Tulane University School of Law.

Our May meeting is at the home of Mike and Anne Spinetti!

Our speaker for the May meeting at Mike & Anne Spinetti’s house is the President of the Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas!

Our June speaker is Mr. Howard Stutz of the LVRJ!

We also run a 50/50 raffle for cash and/or prizes which is quite a lot of fun!

If you are not yet a member or your membership has lapsed we invite you to join the SNCCC! A year’s membership is only $12.00 payable at the door! You are, of course, welcome as a guest to see what we are all about!

The meetings are pretty short; lots of fun BEFORE, DURING and AFTER! Coffee and donuts are provided!
