The book doesn't give an answer, but...
In Response To: Video Poker in hell ()

The way I look at it, the first five cards can be treated just as cards that were never dealt. The odds of getting the dealt RF in hearts, sequential, on the redraw are the same as getting dealt the RF as the first five cards. In the story you don't get credit if dealt the RF on the first five. Each place on the machine display needs one specific card out of 52. You don't have to be concerned about interference of royal cards if dealt in the first five as that's covered by requiring one and only one card per position in the redraw.

So the odds on the dealt RF, hearts, sequential are:

1/52 * 1/51 * 1/50 * 1/49 * 1/48 = 1 / 311,875,200

Since there are no bathroom breaks, sleep, or vacations there, if playing at 200 hands/hour continuously it will take you 1,068 years to get out of hell on average. Probably longer, as satan brings only bad luck, not good luck, and you may have to endure more than one cycle grin .

The players' club at Casino Diablo gives you a point per hand, but it takes about 300,000 points to get a free drink, so once a year you get glass of water!

If your initials happen to be JC, and it's Easter Sunday, you get out without playing at all!

Happy Easter!
